The St. Margaret’s and the British Museum
Arrived at St. Margaret’s Hotel at around 11 after cab drive from Victoria Station. I was actually at VICTORIA STATION!! Roads were blocked off because of bombing so cab dropped us off and we walked. Bob anc Carol already here. We all took showers and walked to the British Museum. Ater at the restaurant there. I had Greek chicken, hummus, Greek salad, and pita. Also had hot tea. We saw the Rosetta Stone. I actually saw the ROSETTA STONE!! Also saw many pieces of the Parthenon that were brought back here “to be preserved.” We could have spent a week there and not have seen nearly everything. We did some shopping at Boots and Sainsbury grocery. Got a pass for the internet cafe. Brendan e-mailed that Maria is now his girlfriend. ‘Bout time. Ate dinner at the Dutch Pancake House. Sharon and I had peaches and ice cream pancake. Bob and Carol had Canadian bacon and apple. Very yummy!
