{"id":763,"date":"2007-08-22T22:59:57","date_gmt":"2007-08-23T02:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/uj\/2007\/08\/22\/spooky-music\/"},"modified":"2007-08-22T23:15:30","modified_gmt":"2007-08-23T03:15:30","slug":"spooky-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.xorph.com\/uj\/archives\/763","title":{"rendered":"Spooky music"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I continue to have a powerful belief in the synchronicities of life, but, for some reason, I\u2019m astonished when they occur.<\/p>\n<p>The wood engraving I\u2019m working on will accompany a poem by a teaching artist who also wrote a book of verse about Daniel Boone, and it will be printed in Monterey, Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>Joan had a blind date with a teaching artist from Monterey, Kentucky, who is also the curator of the museum about Daniel Boone at Boonesborough.<\/p>\n<p>Dana and I have talked for several years about the possibility of bartering for a painting by Irina, the extraordinary Russian artist who lives in Danville. <img src='http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/uj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/irina.jpg' alt='irina.jpg' \/  hspace=\"20\" vspace=\"6\" align=\"right\">Recently she chose Dana as the person to provide her personal assistance while recuperating from a broken hip. When we visited to pick out one of her works, she offered to loan me an art book from her collection. The first one I saw had \u041a\u0420\u0410\u0412\u0427\u0415\u041d\u041a\u041e on the spine, a name that meant nothing to me. I thought it might be pronounced \u201cKravchenko,\u201d but Irina seemed to be saying, \u201cKravkinkja,\u201d so I looked inside. I was stunned by the reproductions. Who was the artist \u041a\u0440\u0430\u0432\u0447\u0435\u043d\u043a\u043e?
