{"id":381,"date":"2005-11-24T00:18:02","date_gmt":"2005-11-24T05:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/uj\/2005\/11\/24\/my-prayer-for-today\/"},"modified":"2007-12-21T19:06:48","modified_gmt":"2007-12-21T23:06:48","slug":"my-prayer-for-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.xorph.com\/uj\/archives\/381","title":{"rendered":"My prayer for today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Inspired by David&#8217;s 103rd Psalm, I share this in the spirit of the early pilgrims, who used five kernals of corn as a symbol of their gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky Thanksgiving Prayer<\/p>\n<p>Father, I see the first kernal and know Your forgiveness is complete.<br \/>\nThank You for being a God<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Who absolves my sins<br \/>\nwhen I pledge in my heart to move forward with my life and trespass no more.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFather, I see the second kernal and know all healing comes from You.<br \/>\nThank You for being a God<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Who provides complete wholeness<br \/>\nand grants me the trusting heart to accept that I may never comprehend Your divine wisdom<br \/>\n&#8212;whether to restore a body with Your grace, or bestow perfection with heaven&#8217;s embrace.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFather, I see the third kernal and know the redemption of Christ.<br \/>\nThank You for being a God<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Who would offer Your only Son<br \/>\nto be a living mediator and the true path to Your everlasting kingdom.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFather, I see the fourth kernal and know Your love and compassion is without qualification.<br \/>\nThank You for being a God<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Who invites me into Your heart<br \/>\neach time I accept the opportunity to serve Your children instead of thinking only of myself.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFather, I see the fifth kernal and know the blessings You provide will never end.<br \/>\nThank You for being a God<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Who is eternally giving<br \/>\nand finds me worthy of Your unfailing gifts, if I can only remember to stop and ask.\n<\/p>\n<p>Father, You are so magnificent.\n<\/p>\n<p>Thank YOU, Thank YOU, Thank YOU, Thank YOU, Thank YOU.\n<\/p>\n<p>Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inspired by David&#8217;s 103rd Psalm, I share this in the spirit of the early pilgrims, who used five kernals of corn as a symbol of their gratitude.
