Brain mapping means they put a lot of very wet sponges <a href=\"http:\/\/www.louisville.edu\/a-s\/psychology\/Molfese\/Images\/P1010001.jpg\" title=\"These pictures are really huge, by the way.\">all over your head<\/a> with rubber bands, so they can go in the room behind you (with a one-way mirror window) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.louisville.edu\/a-s\/psychology\/Molfese\/Images\/P1010013.jpg\" title=\"It's funny when you're not in it!\">laugh at you<\/a> until they pee themselves.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a pretty neat process, if not very comfortable.  They do some <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/health\/424146.stm\" title=\"&quot;A simple test soon after birth could establish whether or not a child will grow up to be dyslexic, a study has found.&quot;\">really interesting work<\/a> there, although Maria apparently disagrees with me on that.  I got to be one of the first participants in a new experiment one of Maria&#8217;s coworkers has designed.  I can&#8217;t tell you what it was about, but I might be able to get a printout of my session; apparently my data was &#8220;very clean.&#8221;  That&#8217;s nice to know.
