The knobs on some of the radiators don&#8217;t turn at all,and the ones that do turn have no effect. I wasn&#8217;t under the impression that this was how radiators worked! Evening is interesting, at least, as I have to open windows around 6 and turn the space heater on again by 11.<\/p>\n<p>Things that have distracted me lately:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocf.berkeley.edu\/~sumanah\/cgi-bin\/view.cgi\/weblog\/2002\/10\/18\/0\">&#8220;&#8230;our machines have to keep grinding over it, the grit in their backwash sandblasting the blood away.&#8221;<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/~wertle\/day\/2002\/10\/16\">&#8220;Ah, it&#8217;s just someone sitting there, because you don&#8217;t see dead bodies, you just don&#8217;t.&#8221;<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li>The same girl who recommended <ahref=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0812992237\/qid=1030077324\/sr=1-4\/ref=sr_1_4\/102-9480174-1273707\">Anthropology<\/a> told me to look for this band <a href=\"http:\/\/www.relientk.com\/\">Relient K<\/a>. She didn&#8217;t mention that they were a Christian band at the time, which is probably a good thing; I enjoy being Catholic, but I don&#8217;t listen to Christian music (anymore) because, as a rule, it sucks heartily on anything you have available. It wasn&#8217;t until I borrowed their CD from Ginger, my <i>Joe Egg<\/i> spouse, that I realized they a) rocked and b) had songs about Jesus and stuff. Then I got to this track called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.absolutelyric.com\/a\/view\/Relient K\/Down In Flames\/\">&#8220;Down In Flames,&#8221;<\/a> which is a straight up slam of Christians in general by a self-aware Christian band. It&#8217;s even got a <i>disclaimer<\/i> at the end. I can&#8217;t get enough.\n<\/li>\n<li>Also, they have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.absolutelyric.com\/a\/view\/Relient K\/I'm Lion-O\/\">song<\/a> about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.planet-hoth.mcmail.com\/Website\/Thundercats\/Lion-O.htm\">Lion-O<\/a>.\n<\/li>\n<li>As the only one of my friends still here for the break, I&#8217;m taking care not only of Idaho but of Meghan&#8217;s turtle and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/~kenmoore\/\">Ken&#8217;s<\/a> red-bellied frogs (plus their cricket-based food source). The resulting situation can be seen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/creator\/ic20021018.jpg\">camwards<\/a>.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/creator\/newscap1.gif\"alt=\"Del McCoury wins Bluegrass Award!
