Lately, with the absence of Captain Rodchester, Tuesday Night Basketball has transitioned to a kind of Weekly Illuminati Night, Where Maria Always Wins. That’s right. Maria has won every single one of our (three) games, including the first one, when she’d never laid hands on it before. I hate Maria.

Expect a spate of posts about Illuminati now, in the fashion of many geeks when just getting into Illuminati. Also, I’ll probably complain about the Society of Assassins, whom I apparently draw 75% of the time, and whom I am growing to hate. Assassins suck. Give me the Bermuda Triangle.

Secret Conspiracy Update: If you google for “steve jackson” illuminati, this ISP in Austin comes up as like the second result, despite the fact that they in no way mention either a) “steve jackson” or b) Illuminati. Dun dun DUNNN!

Okay, I’m not sure what that proves.

Whoo, it’s April Fools.

Hey, look out! You’ve got a spider on your back.

No, I’m just kidding. See? April Fools.

Hey, does anybody know how to center a DIV within another DIV in a cross-browser fashion? I’ve been using text-align, which is fine for IE, but doesn’t fly in Mozilla. Since I’m now kind of a Firebird (er, Firefox? Which makes no sense?) zealot, I really should get down to making NFD look right on my own screen.

Anyway, if you know, I’d just smother you in kisses for a note.

Oh, and Dreamhost sent out an announcement last night saying that the downtime / slowdown was caused by a DDOS attack. I guess I believe them, but I don’t understand why NFD shows up while the front page completely refuses to load. Did they somehow break PHP?

Grr. I like the fact that I have an insanely cheap deal with Dreamhost, but apparently the site’s been really slow lately, and until about ten minutes ago it was completely dead. If it doesn’t stay up, my apologies. If it looks like the downtime is enough for me to consider switching hosts, you can check my LJ for updates. Bleagh.

I should thank Aleeezon for very kindly putting me up this weekend, post-bacchanal. Will’s wedding was nice. Nobody fell down. And now back to the sweet, simple work that is failing my classes.

  1. Tonight I’m going to Will’s bachelor party, and tomorrow I’m attending his wedding. Will is actually younger than me. (There are going to be girls at this bachelor party. I’m not sure it’s really going to count.)
  2. Do you see the cam? Hmm?
  3. I’m a hundred years old.
