\n Farewell to the old year. <\/p>\n

With each deed recorded. <\/p>\n
The record now stands. <\/p>\n
Were they evil or good, <\/p>\n
\n There are no retractions, <\/p>\n
For yesterday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s chapters <\/p>\n
\n Are now in God\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hands. <\/p>\n
We only can hope <\/p>\n
\n Our successes and failures <\/p>\n
\n Will evenly balance <\/p>\n
\n On life\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s mighty scale; <\/p>\n
\n That the lessons we learned <\/p>\n
\n Will not be forgotten <\/p>\n
As we chart a new course <\/p>\n
\n And make ready to sail.<\/p>\n
So hail to the New Year!<\/p>\n
\n Let each precious moment <\/p>\n
Be counted a gem <\/p>\n
\n Beyond value or cost. <\/p>\n
Let’s spend not one hour <\/p>\n
\n In useless endeavor, <\/p>\n
For time that is wasted <\/p>\n
\n Is time that is lost.<\/p>\n
The bright new horizons <\/p>\n
\n Will constantly beckon <\/p>\n
To those who march onward <\/p>\n
\n With banners unfurled. <\/p>\n
Have faith in the future. <\/p>\n
