Followers of our medium at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>\u2019s deep, mind-bending repository of visual imagery will confirm my declaration that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/jadixon\/?s=%27surreal+face%27\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>The Surreal Face<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/jadixon\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Dixon_Accomplice.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6592\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/jadixon\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Dixon_Accomplice.jpg\" alt=\"Accomplice ~ J A Dixon ~ for the Baker\u2019s Half-Dozen Exchange\" title=\"I created \u2018Accomplice\u2019 for the 2016 \u2018Baker\u2019s Half-Dozen Exchange\u2019\" width=\"167\" height=\"195\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"6\" align=right size-full wp-image-6579\" \/><\/a>thriving in contemporary collage. I\u2019m not the only person who likes to showcase fine solutions by others (which includes the anonymous sponsor of a page called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/strange_is_better\/\" target=\"_blank\">Strange is Better<\/a>). Call it a sub-genre or simply classify it under \u201821st-century Surrealism,\u2019 it is a phenomenon that shows no symptoms of decline. Perhaps it goes without saying that something so accessible to entry-level collage artists is also an approach that is difficult to master. <a href=\"http:\/\/julialillard.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Julia Lillard\u2019s devotion to the perennial subject<\/a> demands that I single her out for a future review.
