Most likely, it goes back to Joseph Cornell\u2019s aviaries. I also noticed that I placed a bird in my <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/jadixon\/about-j-a-dixon\">Face with Asparagus<\/a><\/em> as a sort of eyebrow. I intend to use that image as the \u201cface\u201d of <em>The Collage Miniaturist.<\/em> Below is a study lifted from one of my personal journals, which tend to be caught between a collection of organizational lists, private anecdotes, and diary of thumbnail sketches.<\/p>\n<p>Since I\u2019ve posted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xorph.com\/jadixon\/?p=67\" title=\"Gardenshapes\">my review<\/a> of Kathleen O\u2019Brien\u2019s recent exhibition, it\u2019s probably time to sail this boat out into open water. Thinking of birds, perhaps I should say instead, fly out of the nest, \u2014or\u2014 drive that \u201961 Oldsmobile to a destination unknown.
