It’s 2003. I have 2002’s worth of journal entries, legible thusly. (Now in ascending order! Alsothat’s a whompin’ big file, circa 350k.)

Tonight I helped kindly retiree antiquers unravel the secrets of eBay. They were really sweetpeople with a very spoiled dog, and it was actually pretty smooth, and they even paid me! Theycaught on very quickly. The most interesting part, for me, was learning how much of an effort it isto set my “explaining stuff” voice down to first gear. I talk much too fast and in too low a voice, because I’m more interested in density of information than I am in its presentation, and tonight Ihad no choice but to settle back into easygoing one-step-at-a-time mode. It was interesting, but Ithink if I had to do it for a job I’d hurt myself. On purpose.

Back to school tomorrow, and I start my internship Monday. I have a feeling it’s going to take meway too long to start writing “2003″ on things.
