not falling down

Tuesday, November 12, a week from tonight, 8:00 pm EST! If you listen carefully to 91.3 WUKY, youcan almost hear me gulping like a drowned fish on my first ever public radio appearance.

We recorded it earlier tonight, so it’s only live on tape, but I was still oddly nervous. I don’treally get stage fright anymore, but I was a little freaked out anyway, partly because the host(Nick somebody?) kept telling these gentle lighthearted stories and then busting out sharp andpointed questions. It was kind of like a fencing match where he had a foil and I had a Mongo Bat.

Luckily I also had our director Tony, who trained with Britain’s Olympic fencing coach (seriously).He bailed me out quite nicely, so hopefully I’ll only sound like an idiot in patches.

But hey, y’know, I’m famous.
