I survived my first real term at Oxford

So I haven’t left yet, but I am done with everything that has to do with this term. I finished my essay at 7:30 this morning, had my tutorial at 9:30 (though I thought it was supposed to start at 9:15), ran back to college to meet with my advisor at 10:45 and get my reports from my tutors on how I did, ran back to exam schools for my lecture at 11, and was finished my 12. Yesterday I also met with the principal about my reports, so really I had already gotten them before I met with my advisor. It went really well. Dr. Fiddes, the principal, said he was very pleased and especially so since I was a Georgetown student who had gotten in on my own merit and I was proving that it was a good decision for them, I guess. Suke, my advisor, said both tutors gave me very complimentary reports. My politics tutor said I needed to do more reading, but I knew that. British politics is still not my area of expertise, though I do know a heck of a lot more than I used to. So yeah, I’m done with those tutorials and have collections at the beginning of next term to see if I remember any of it. So I’ve given Kyle a list of books to check out for me from UofL and I’ve gotten a few books to take home with me. I really hope they don’t make my luggage too heavy. I don’t think they will, but I guess we’ll see. I don’t know what I’ll do if that’s the case. Try to stuff them in my laptop bag I guess. So I might write a longer entry later, but I’m getting ready to do some laundry at Ashley’s so I can leave clean clothes here in Ula’s room. I’m so glad they let me leave at least some of my stuff here. It makes things easier.
